WE WELCOME YOU TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT of a SERIES of UKRAINIAN as a FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEXTBOOKS "YABLUKO"
The project, which began in 2011 with the support of the Ukrainian Catholic University and School friends, and aims to develop a series of study guides on the Ukrainian language.
The series of course materials initially consists of three textbooks and three notebooks: Elementary level (A2), Intermediate I level (B1), and Advanced level (B2-C1). Each notebook contains exercises and homework corresponding to the textbook to help students consolidate their knowledge.
The course materials are designed by UCU teachers and are developed along the lines of Oxford textbooks and methods of teaching foreign languages. All teachers working on the project have both an education as well as a minimum of five years of experience in teaching Ukrainian as a Foreign Language. Artwork for the materials was provided by Arts students that received their first practical experience with this project. The design of the textbooks was also done by Arts students.
Samples of initial series of course materials:
Tutorial #1: Elementary level and accompanying Workbook
Tutorial #2: Intermediate level and accompanying Workbook
Tutorial #3: Advanced level and accompanying Workbook
Last year we completed the first phase of the project – the development of the textbooks – which was carried out with the generous financial support of the UCU in the amount of 156,000 UAH (19,500 USD).
We are now ready to carry out the second phase of the project – the printing of the materials – and are currently seeking funding in the amount of 24,500 USD.
