The Ukrainian Canadian Foundation of Taras Shevchenko (Shevchenko Foundation) fulfills its mandate by disbursing grants to organizations, groups and individuals in support of Ukrainian Canadian cultural development. Applicants should note that grants are allocated within a framework of specific criteria and specific disciplines. Please read the general granting criteria, eligibility and restrictions on applications, as well as the objectives and descriptions of each grants program in order to identify where your project will fit best.

Bursary for Language Program in Ukraine

 

Application Checklist:

 

Your application must include all the items on this checklist and be submitted in this same 

order. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

1. Bursary Registration Form (visit web page to find it http://www.shevchenkofoundation.com/grant-education.html)

2. Résumé (no more than 1 page outlining academic achievements & community 

involvement) 

3. Program Outline: Name the program and academic institution in Ukraine in which you 

are participating as well as the accredited Canadian university through which the 

program is offered. Describe the goals of the program and what you hope to achieve. 

Provide a list of costs associated with your participation in the program.

4. Copy of transcript from most recent year of study to date

5. Three letters of recommendation (from non-family members). Two should be from your 

academic institution and one from someone who can attest to your community activities.

The deadline for bursary applications is March 1st
